Principles and Methods of Scrapping Automotive Dismantling Equipment

【Summary】The purpose of disassembly is to facilitate inspection and maintenance. Due to the unique characteristics of mechanical equipment, there are differences in weight, structure, precision, and other aspects of the components. Improper disassembly can damage the components, resulting in unnecessary waste and even rendering them irreparable. To ensure the quality of maintenance, a careful plan must be made before disassembly, estimating potential problems and carrying out the disassembly in a systematic manner.

1. Before disassembly, it is necessary to understand the structure and working principle.
There are various types of mechanical equipment with different structures. It is important to understand the structural characteristics, working principles, performance, and assembly relationships of the parts to be disassembled. Carelessness and blind disassembly should be avoided. For unclear structures, relevant drawings and data should be consulted to understand the assembly relationships and mating properties, especially the positions of fasteners and the direction of removal. In some cases, it may be necessary to design suitable disassembly fixtures and tools while analyzing and judging.

2. Prepare before disassembly.
Preparations include selecting and cleaning the disassembly site, cutting off power, wiping and cleaning, and draining oil. Electrical, easily oxidized, and prone to corrosion parts should be protected.

3. Start from the actual situation – if it can be left intact, try not to disassemble it. If it needs to be disassembled, it must be disassembled.
To reduce the amount of disassembly work and avoid damaging the mating properties, parts that can still ensure performance should not be disassembled, but necessary tests or diagnosis should be carried out to ensure that there are no hidden defects. If the internal technical condition cannot be determined, it must be disassembled and inspected to ensure the quality of maintenance.

4. Use the correct disassembly method to ensure personal and mechanical equipment safety.
The disassembly sequence is generally the reverse of the assembly sequence. First, remove external accessories, then disassemble the entire machine into components, and finally disassemble all parts and place them together. Choose suitable disassembly tools and equipment according to the form of component connections and specifications. For non-removable connections or combined parts that may reduce accuracy after disassembly, protection must be taken into account during disassembly.

5. For shaft hole assembly parts, adhere to the principle of disassembly and assembly.
